The objective of this course is to develop a strong foundation in English language skills, specifically tailored to the field of natural science. By the end of this course, students will be proficient in using various parts of speech and academic writing techniques to effectively communicate scientific concepts and information. They will be able to apply these language skills to describe, explain, and analyze natural science topics, as well as conduct research and present their findings in a formal scientific report. Additionally, students will gain an understanding of academic English conventions, including sentence structure, paragraph and essay writing, source evaluation, and citation practices, to enhance their ability to engage in scientific discourse and effectively communicate their scientific knowledge.
